I love this dress! Mostly I love it because it was an awesome deal at TJ Maxx, $39, for a $100 dress. Win for the Maxxinista! I also just adore the silhouette, it has something very retro, yet modern about it and I love it. It feels casual enough to go out during the day, but dressed up enough for a date night. The best part about the shape of the dress is that it makes me look 10 pounds lighter, which is fantastic, because Winter has not left me in my best shape. I love clothes that make you feel good, I think all clothes should be mood boosters.
I can't not mention the shoes. Another TJ Maxx score, these Steve Madden heels remind me so much of the Valentino Rockstuds, but for soooo much less! The best part, is that they are super comfy.
Here's hoping that sunnier days will soon be upon us!
Do you have an outfit that just brightens up your day>

ModCloth Stylish Surprise finally arrived!
I was delighted to find my ModCloth box in the mail! I love the Stylish Surprise because you never know what you might get. Even though I was disappointed that I wasn't able to get a shoe, accesory, or apartment one, I did manage to get two clothing orders in and they more than made up for the others. Each clothing Stylish Surprise is $15 and the items are worth anywhere from $24-$249. With my last I received two dresses that I might not normally have picked out, but I loved when I saw them.
The first is the Spectrum of Style dress by Suzi Chin for Maggy Boutique. This is a multi colored stunner, light weight and fun for summer. Originally priced at $197.99! Which if my math is right is just about 7.5% of the original price!
The other is the Give It Your Wallflower Dress by Moon Collection. A gorgeous black and yellow damask on a heavier fabric with a bit of structure, not necessarily a dress I would have picked out, but still beautiful. Originally priced at $64.99, so another really great deal.
What I love about Stylish Surprise is that no matter what you receive, it's a pretty great deal. Sometimes, like this time, you will make out exceptionally well.
If you've ordered a Stylish Surprise, show me the pieces you got, I'd love to see!

Happy Macaron Day!
Happy Macaron Day everyone! These are some of my favorite cookies/dessert/treats. I love the variety of flavors they come in and how cute they are. I picked some up at Sweet Indulgence in Warwick. Today was my first time there, but I'll definitely be going back again. It's a super cute little place with macarons, chocolates, ice cream and my favorite, cupcakes. It has a great atmosphere and they were super friendly.
Hope you find yourself snacking on these petite treats tonight.

Get on over to ModCloth as fast as you can! The Stylish Surprise is back and selling out fast. I tried to get off the accessory and shoe one, but they sold out before I could finish checking out. There may still be shoes in your size! I got two clothing pieces and can't wait to get them.

Pre Keratin Treatment
It took a lot of bravery for me to put this video up. I really want to answer any questions you have about keratin and wanted to show you the true difference it can make. This video is before my first keratin treatment. All I did was wash my hair and then let it do it's natural thing... not a drop of product. That's unheard of for me. As you can see in the video it's totally wild (plus my roots needed to be done. I'll soon have up my video and post of during the keratin and then shortly after that will be post keratin. Ask me any questions you have and I will (with the help of my stylist) answer them for you.
I hope this is informative!

My Diamond Candles plus a coupon!
So I finally got myself two Diamond Candles, Cupcake (naturally) and Pomegrante Lemonade which just makes my mouth water at the thought :) I can't wait to get them in and I'll review them as soon as I have them. I was tempted to scoop up a bunch more, but I figured I'd start with two and work from there.
I'm hoping I get some nice rings inside :)
Here's a link that will give you $5 off your purchase: http://my.cndl.es/x/eQXt8
Have you tried Diamond Candles before? What did you get inside?

Sunshine in a Snowstorm: Citrus Lush Cocktail
I love New England, I really do, but I want to go from complaining about the cold dreary weather to complaining about how hot it is! The past few weeks have been pretty typical temperature wise, but it has been so gray and rainy/snowy out. I needed some sunshine! I actually put Miami Beach into my phone's GPS... One day! Anyway, I brought a little sunshine and happiness my way with a great Lush bath cocktail.
Liquid Sunshine:
Golden Wonder Bath Bomb
Sunnyside Bubble Bar
Rub, Rub, Rub Shower Scrub
Snow Globe Soap
Golden Wonder is filled with a beautiful teal color and soap stars and Sunnyside provides some gold glitter, both have a yummy bright citrus scent which can cheer up any gray day.
Rub, Rub, Rub left me feeling nice and soft, plus the sea salt and lemon juice left me feeling like Miami Beach in the tub. The whole invention of Snow Globe soap was to bring some bright citrusy warmth into winter, so what better to add to my bath?
Needless to say, the warmth and smells and turquoise waters refreshed me enough to get me through a little bit more winter.
Are you getting away from the cold this winter?

OOTD Geometric Dress
So as promised I'm going to try to start posting at least one outfit per week. I work in a medical spa, so 5 days a week I wear scrubs, but once a week we get a dress up day. Here's what I wore this week.
I love the shape of the dress and how fun the skirt of it is. I must have twirled about 20 times in the office.
I love this dress. I got it for a great price at TJ Maxx and it's such a soft, warm, comfy dress. It's great because it doesn't need much since it has such a fun print. It's not something I'd usually buy, but would definitely admire on someone else, so I'm glad I bought it.
I paired it with very simple jewelry and earth toned makeup.
Do you have a favorite easy to wear outfit?

Illamasqua Imperfect Nail Polish: Speckled Nails
I am loving some of
the new nail trends, there's a big emphasis on birds and feathers right now. I
adore the new Illamasqua Imperfect nail polishes which resemble the speckles on
a bird's egg. I was finally able to hunt down a bottle and purchased it in Speckle
which is a lovely lavender shade. For the best results you will need 2-3 coats
of polish, this helps to really get the speckled egg effect. I chose to do 3
coats, but see the comparison of coats below. I love this for Spring, and as
cliché as it is, I love it for Easter. I'm thinking of pairing it with an
accent nail I recently saw on Pinterest using a real feather. If I'm able to
pull that off, you guys will be the first ones to know.
I had to ask for the polish at my Sephora, because they had just received the shipment and it wasn't even on the floor yet, so don't be afraid to ask!
There are five
colors available:
Speckle (lavender), Freckle (cocoa), Fragile (light blue),
Mottle (light moss green), and
Scarce (light pink.) They are available
exclusively at Sephora for $16 or on Illamasqua's Website
