Get a free Julep Maven Box!

Lately I've been researching different subscription boxes because I love the idea of them.  I love trying new things and getting samples and being a part of the review process to help other people feel more confident in what they buy. One of the boxes that's caught my attention is the Julep Maven Box since you get to preview the contents first. Also, once boxes have shipped out, many of the other styles become available for additional purchase.   Your style gets determined by a quick quiz and if you don't like what was picked,  choose a different one.  The subscription is $19.99 per month and you get 2 full size nail polishes and a makeup item, about a $40 value.
To get started, here's a code for your first box free, just pay shipping (as low as $3.99)

Sign up here! Use code: FREEBOX

I can't wait to get mine in! Let me know in the comments what you get in yours or what subscription boxes you get.

Amazing deal from Diamond Candles! Just in time for Mother's Day

I have been in love with my Diamond Candles since the day they arrived. The rings I got are cute (not sure that they're worth anything major) and the candles are very high quality. I use Lavender Lemon at work and it's potent enough to lightly fragrance our entire office. We have 20 foot ceilings and a large space and this candle manages.

Right now they're having a really great deal in time for Mother's Day, 4 candles for $79 and free shipping. That's like getting a candle free and saving about $15 in shipping.

Head on over there soon, because there are already a few scents sold out.

Drugstore Finds: Gorgeous Nail Polishes by Essie

I, like many, find myself obssesed with nail polish. I have far more than I should and I adore getting new colors and textures and I love playing with trends. I also always like to keep a few classics on hand, especially for my toes. My toes are where I tend to be a little more conservative and I think it's because quite frankly, I'm awful at painting my own toes.

I stopped by CVS today for one thing and left with way more than I needed,  including these great polishes by Essie. I'm planning to do the Mint Apple Candy for my hands with an accent nail of Set in Stones. My toes will be wearing Nothing Else Metals and yes I say toes instead of toenails because I really can be THAT bad at doing my toes.

What colors are you loving for spring?

Hasbro Children's Hospital Radiothon

I wanted to talk about the Hasbro Children's Hospital Radiothon because it is a cause close to my heart. In a very difficult period of my life, Hasbro gave me great treatment and had amazing resources for me and my family. They give world class health care to children in need and the stories these families tell warm and break your heart all at the same time. They will take any donation in any amount and many local and national business will match donations.  What they look for is people who can become Miracle Makers by donating $12 per month for a year. They try to reach different amounts of Miracle Makers at different times of the day towards their ultimate goal. When I was still a poor college student I often gave $10 or $20, whatever I had that I could give. Now, even though I'm still getting on my feet, this is a program that needs support and I become a Miracle Maker. It's a small gift that makes a huge difference. If you are able, give.

The Radiothon is all day today. To donate call: 855-999-5437

I'd love to hear your stories about Hasbro Children's Hospital in the comments below. Let me know how they've helped you or someone you know.
