Naked Vault Vol III is Here!

Run to the site and buy it and then come back to read this, these always sell out so fast!

http://www.urbandecay.com/s/urbandecay-us/naked-vault-vol-iii-by-urban-decay/3605971275418.html
Urban Decay has just released their Naked Vault Volume III and it includes:

Naked
Naked 2
Naked 3
Naked Smoky
Naked Basics
Naked Basics 2

Naked Flush in Naked and Streak

24/7 Glide-on Lip Pencil in Naked and Rush

Naked Ultra Nourishing Lipgloss in Naked and Conspiracy

Vice Lipstick in Naked and Backtalk

All told this whole set is worth $452 and is only $300!

If you don't already own the Naked palettes and you've been lusting over them for a while, this is a great value. Yes it's a bit of a splurge, but you're getting such a complete collection for a great deal.

I have all four of the main Naked palettes and I love them and reach for them often, there's a reason so many people rave about them.

Official Description from Urban Decay:
"Introducing Naked Vault Vol III—the ultimate arsenal for Naked junkies! Experiment with a huge range of neutral shades for eyes, cheeks and lips. We loaded this insanely luxurious, ultra limited-edition set with 14 of our most-coveted Naked products—including ALL SIX palettes. From bronze to taupe, rose to smoky, matte to shimmer, it’s all here.
Once you’ve nailed the neutral eye, create the perfect contours with Naked Flushed in Naked (medium pink) or Streak (medium peach). Since no look would be complete without lip color, we included plenty of options. Start with 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil in Naked (nude-pink) or Rush (pink-mauve), and top it off with Naked Lipgloss in Naked or the new, exclusive shade Conspiracy (plum-bronze shimmer). We even included two shades of Vice Lipstick: Naked (nude-pink cream) and Backtalk (mauve-nude pink comfort matte).

A set this amazing deserves a prime spot on your vanity. So we arranged everything in a gorgeous, collectible case with a removable inner tray. Lift out the tray and store it in your vanity, then use the box to stash your other UD essentials or as a place to store jewelry."

MAC x Star Trek

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Star Trek, MAC has released a limited edition collection.

"Spanning half a century, Star Trek and its loyal fans cross decades, influencing ideas and aesthetics of gender, race and intergalactic potential. As the sci-fi saga continues, delight in the beauty of exploration as M·A·C and Star Trek’s latest cinema generation joins forces in an exclusive makeup collaboration of astral hues."

I'm a total dork so I was pretty excited for this collection. I also love that they did looks inspired by the women of Star Trek and included tutorials. Check them out at the links below.

My eyes immediately gravitate towards the pressed pigments and the glitter in them, those just stand out to me and look so gorgeous and I think they would be great as we move into the darker colors of Fall.

I'm also loving the false lashes with peeks of blue, I just think they're so fun and a very sexy shape. I feel as though these can be very wearable because the blue is subtle.

It wouldn't be me if I didn't go for Kling it On (I'm a sucker for purple lipstick.) Described as
a deep purple with fine pink glitter it's my kind of lipstick.

The Trip the Light Fantastic powders also seem gorgeous and would definitely work as highlight and blush in one. Because I'm so fair I would go for Luna Luster (plus I just love those soft pink shades.)

I would love to see more dorky collaborations since it fits my personality so well. I love getting glam, but I also love Comic Con and I think collections are a perfect combination of the two!

Make Up For Ever #MyArtistRouge VoxBox

You have no idea how excited I was when I found out I was getting this VoxBox. I love Influenster and I practically did backflips when I found out there was a Make Up For Ever VoxBox coming out since they are my favorite makeup brand. They sent me 3 gorgeous shades of their new Artist Rouge lipsticks: C211 Rose Wood, C404 Passion Red and C502 Taupe Violet. I was ecstatic too because these are all shades I would reach for normally. The new lipsticks come in two finishes: matte and cream as indicated by the C or M before the shade name. (They also do this with their eyeshadows which is very helpful, I'm a big fan of D colors which have Diamond sparkle.)

The new Artist Rouge aren't to be confused with their predecessors the Rouge Artist Intense, they're replacing them. There are a few differences between the two and Make Up For Ever was looking to improve the formulation with this launch. Before you even open it there is an immediate difference in packaging. While the Rouge Artist was a sleek plastic square casing the new Artist Rouge are round and aluminum and feel heavier in the hand and definitely more high end. The design is also even more minimalist with a simple embossed pair of lips at the top and a black and white sticker listing the shade on the bottom versus the logo printed across the side and the colored sticker at the bottom.

Upon opening the lipstick you'll notice a new bullet shape, which I found made application easy even without lining the lips. The Rouge Artist came with a more flat faced bullet and the new Artist Rouge is a sleeker, taller and more pointed bullet.

When swatching the colors I didn't notice a significantly higher color payoff in the new formula, but this may apply more to certain shades which may have been patchier in the original formula. For comparison I used Rouge Artist Intense #43 Moulin Rouge against C404 Passion Red since they were similar in color.

As you'll see in my Instagram the formula is creamy and pigmented and holds up well. I went to an outdoor wedding in August wearing it and it didn't budge even through cocktails and I only barely had to reapply after dinner.

I love a classic red and this one is a show stopper. The C211 Rose Wood is just such a gorgeous every day shade that doesn't fade into the background. I wore it with a more natural every day look and it popped in a more subtle way, but was just as rich and beautiful as the red. C502 Taupe Violet is such a cool color. I have lots of purple and violet lipsticks, but there is something so unique about this one. It's as though it wants to be a greige and a violet at the same time and I just love it.

A photo posted by Stephanie Texeira (@crashlovesdanger) on

These retail for $22 and come in 15 matte shades and 30 cream shades. I think they're well worth it and I will definitely be reaching for them often and will probably pick up a few more shades, I'd love to try some of the mattes as well.

Description from Sephora: "Now saturated with 25 percent more pigment than the original Rouge Artist, Artist Rouge Lipstick brings bold color impact to lips that make a statement. This extremely pigmented formula not only provides intense, opaque color but boasts an ultra-creamy, non-drying formula that hydrates the lips for ultimate comfort. Its unique, precision shaped bullet allows for easy, defined application while the long wear formula will not bleed or feather. Artist Rouge is a bold collection that is professionally curated to include the most flattering shades across all color families—with a perfect match for each and every skintone. It features two finishes: a matte for an ultra-matte yet velvety finish that won't feel dry and a cream for intense color with a natural-looking, creamy finish."

I received this Make Up For Ever VoxBox for free from Influenster for testing purposes. All opinions are my own.

Influenster VoxBox: L'Oreal EverCurl Cleansing Balm

The product featured in this post was sent to me by Influenster for free for review. All opinions are my own and not influenced in any way.

I was really excited to try this new L'Oreal EverCurl Cleansing Balm because I've heard a lot about some new methods for washing curly hair including reverse cleansing (conditioner before shampoo), curly girl method and others.

The product itself is a thick cream, somewhere between a balm and a conditioner, it has a light, but pleasant smell. The bottle instructs you to use 6-8 pumps or more for longer hair. As my hair is thick and very long I ended up using about 24 pumps and truthfully could have probably used a bit more. You massage it in and leave it for 3-5 minutes. The strangest part of washing your hair like this is the lack of lather. You assume that bubbles mean clean, but there wasn't a bubble in sight.

My hair felt soft and smooth afterwards as promised, but shortly after as it dried began to frizz up. The product seems to claim that it will replace your various steps and leave curly hair practically ready to go. I definitely think I needed styling products because my curls soon became unruly.

I also have to mention that it did strip some dye from my hair so that was a downside as well.

If paired with some styling products I think this could be a great product for curly girls, but it's not a standalone.

Overall I'd give it a 3/5.

L'Oreal EverCurl Cleansing Balm retails for $11.99 at major retailers.

Enchanted Polish Restock!

Every time Enchanted Polish does a restock we, the nail polish addicts of the world, go nuts. The restocks are small, the polish is amazing and the secondary market is crazy inflated. I always end up setting reminders in my schedule when a restock is going to happen.

I've been dying to get my hands on Unipeg, Alicorn and Pegacorn and they sold out in less than 30 seconds last time, so today I'm trying again. (Update: I GOT THEM!!!) They're also restocking Dime Piece which I got last time and is a GORGEOUS silver holo that I highly recommend.

EP also hinted at new colors so we'll have to see what comes out..
Update: There's a new topcoat called Rainbow Dust which is supposed to be a topcoat version of Rainbow Ashes (another GORGEOUS silver holo) and I grabbed one of those too!

The restock happens at 1:00pm EST (10:00am PST)

GlamGlow is on HauteLook!

This is not a drill. I repeat THIS IS NOT A DRILL. GlamGlow is on HauteLook right now!

http://www.hautelook.com/invite/STexeira785
In the past I've reviewed a few of the GlamGlow masks and did really like them, but they are a little pricey so I haven't taken the plunge to pick them up. The sets that are on HauteLook right now are I believe from Holiday 2015 and are a great deal. As a side note they are still available on the GlamGlow website at full price.

These sets are $45 on HauteLook and are a $127 value!

Both sets include a full size mask (YouthMud or ThirstyMud), a cleanser, a SuperMud treatment and a brush for clean application. I think these are a great value considering the masks alone are worth $69 and they do last a long time as you don't need much. YouthMud is great for anti-aging and I honestly found it helped with clogged pore and congestion. ThirstyMud is great for hydration (and yes even oily skin needs hydration!)

A Different Meal Delivery System: FreshRealm

Earlier this evening I actually remarked to my mother how it seems like sometimes I can't get to the grocery store for a month or sometimes 2, my schedule is just that crazy. Often times my boyfriend will swing by the store for one or two things on his way home. When I do get to the store I stock my pantry and freezer to max capacity because who knows when I'll have time to go again soon. For a while now I've been checking out different services like Blue Apron and Hello Fresh and trying to find one that fits my budget and taste. There's are 2 problems: I can be cheap when I don't know the quality of what I'm getting and I'm a notoriously picky eater. I've been trying to work on the second one lately and have been getting myself to try new things, but so far there have been few successes (I was shocked to find out that I actually kind of like brussel sprouts. Who knew?!) The problem I've had with a lot of these services is that it seems like every meal has something I don't like or won't eat or is something so simple I could make it myself. After all I've been cooking since I was tall enough (with the help of a step stool) to reach the counter and help my mom. I'm actually a decent cook, I'm just crazy busy.

So I had pretty much decided I was stuck with making the same old same old or getting delivery like we do far more often than I would like. Tonight however as I was getting the mail I noticed a page in a magazine about a new meal delivery company: FreshRealm. I did a little research and this seems like something that can really fit my lifestyle. Now like I said before I've done a lot of research into the various different companies and this is the first I've found that's actually different. The biggest differences are that it's not a subscription service, meaning you only order when you need it. I like this because sometimes I have a little time and want to prep meals myself.

It also doesn't come in a regular insulated box, but what they call a "vessel" which essentially looks like a fridge with shelves made to hold their containers inside. It's like an expert mode Tupperware Tetris for shipping, it's actually really cool. The Vessel eliminates a lot of waste and packaging and actually keeps the food fresher longer. FreshRealm also won't ship if it's under 60% full which means less waste and will actually reward you with free shipping if it's at least 90% full.

I also really like that there are a TON of options including breakfast, lunch and snacks on top of dinner, which is what most services focus on. They have a filter option that can sort by ingredients and also cook time. They have everything from Heat and Eat to options which take up to 50 minutes.

But the best part? Everything is already prepped. Sliced, chopped, diced, whatever it is, it's done. This means that even people who are clueless in the kitchen can get a meal together with relative ease. In my head this means that on the odd nights that my boyfriend is home first, he can have dinner together for when I get home. If you could see me right now you would know just how blissful that thought is.

Something else I found really unique is that on some recipes there are options to save money by saying you don't need certain ingredients. For example if you have the smaller stuff that some of us have stocked up in our kitchens, you can check a box to not include it and save per serving. You can also save 25 cents per serving if you don't need a physical recipe card and you can get the instructions and recipe right on the site instead.

Use this referral link and save $20 off your first order!

Influenster St. Ives VoxBox

As you probably know by now I absolutely love Influenster, & I especially love getting VoxBoxes. It's also pretty well known how much I love beauty products. Anyone who has ever been to my house knows that I have a whole closet full of bath products. So you can imagine my excitement when I received this St. Ives VoxBox. You can watch my quick overview on YouTube here: Influenster St. Ives VoxBox Review
Keep reading below for my full review.

This is actually the first time that I've ever used products from St. Ives. Of course I've seen them on store shelves and heard of them plenty of times before, but somehow I've never picked them up myself.

Let's start out with the Even & Bright Pink Lemon and Mandarin Exfoliating Body wash. I'm a sucker for anything citrus. I don't know what it is, but I absolutely love the freshness of citrus scents. This body wash bursts with an almost grapefruit like scent which really helps to brighten up a cold winter's day. It also has natural exfoliants which are great for sloughing away dry, dead, winter skin. The exfoliant is gentle enough for daily use, but for full disclosure I will admit there was one day where my skin was particularly dry and I was a little bit itchy after washing. Since this only happened once I'm throwing it out as an anomaly. However if you're very sensitive that may be an issue for you as well.

Next up is the Nourished & Smooth Oatmeal Scrub and Mask. This was the first time I've seen a product that is scrub and mask, usually I've seen one or the other. It's super gentle and moisturizing with all natural oatmeal as well as honey. I have to admit I still haven't taken time for myself to try it as a mask (it's on my to do list, but my days are crazy), but I've been loving it as a scrub. This is another mild exfoliant that's probably gentle enough for daily use, but I've only been using it about twice a week so as not to overdo it. I actually tried this out on my boyfriend who has really bad eczema and a tendency to be very sensitive to products. He did really well with it as well and said his skin felt softer. This scrub helps to remove flaky, dry skin from the face and restore moisture. It also smells delicious which is a plus. My face definitely felt smoother and softer after using this.

Last, but not least is the Refresh & Revive Pear Nectar and Soy Body Lotion. Boy am I glad the sent a big one. I love body lotion, actually any lotion really, and I absolutely love pears. The scent on this is very light and natural, it's not that overly sweet artificial pear that you sometimes find in bath products. I really like that this was a lightweight and fast absorbing body lotion. I'm one of those people who doesn't like to put clothes on while my skin feels wet or sticky. This usually leads to me sitting around waiting for lotion to dry if it isn't a formula absorbs quickly and I get annoyed. I know it's a silly thing, but for some reason I don't like that feeling. With this I was able to put it on after the shower and pretty quickly get dressed. Totally absorbed into my skin and no greasy feel. I think I'd bathe in this lotion if I could.

Overall I love this trio of products for the winter time. You get lovely scents, gentle exfoliation and all over hydration. I can definitely see myself using these products all throughout the winter.

These products were sent to me free of charge by Influenster. All reviews and opinions are my own and are no way influenced by brands, companies or other reviews.
