January 2014 KlutchClub Women's Box

Every month when I open my KlutchClub Box I think how much I'd like the people who pack it to reorganize my house. It amazes me how much they fit in there!

It doesn't look like much until you start unpacking it!

This month's box featured some products seen in previous boxes.

I'm super excited about the Good Boy Organicsaurus snacks! They came in a previous box and I love them and there are two bags this time. They are light and crunchy and great if you're a grazer like I am.They're somewhere between a Cheeto and Goldfish, so yummy, but still fairly healthy.

I'm curious about the RealBeanz coffee since it's made with coconut water, which I cannot stomach. I don't know why, but I have a really hard time drinking coconut water.

The Premier Protein Crisp bar was like a thin mint cookie in protein bar form. Really good, slightly crispy and great for holding me over.

The Numi Savory Teas are interesting to me. I know that many people drink broth, but I am not a fan. I don't even like most soup, I know I'm super picky. I almost wonder if I could use this to cook with instead of drinking.

The Nektar Honey Crystals are an awesome idea. I sometimes take tea in my honey, but it is difficult if you're trying to drink tea on the go or at work and don't want to carry a honey bottle on you. These are just like sugar packets, but are real honey. Super innovative and convenient. This is something I would definitely buy for my boyfriend who almost exclusively uses honey in his tea and has taken to drinking tea more often.

DetoxRx Cell-U-Firm... oh why couldn't they have just mailed me a tub of this?! I have to admit I'm not sure it will work, but am skeptical of what one small sample can do. Now if they'd let me soak in a vat of the stuff...

Sukitz... well then... This is supposed to be a high energy lollipop that gives you the  same jolt of energy as an energy drink would. I'll have to see how this measures up to my daily coffee.

Everything else was considered extra gifts and I'm guessing are just random filler gifts in each box from whatever is left over. All of these items were in previous boxes. My variety included Almost Nuts chocolate covered roasted soy nuts as well as some herbal and mineral supplements.

KlutchClub always has a great variety of products and a fairly high value for the cost. There are always great deals and I recommend trying out at least one and seeing what you think. Join KlutchClub

November KlutchClub Women's Box

This month's box was energy themed and made for the woman on the go! If that isn't me I don't know what is! I love that there were 2 bars of Green & Black's 70% dark because man did I need that fix. I love chocolate and the older I get, the more I love dark chocolate.
The Medjool Dates I've actually been keeping at work so I don't snack on something awful, so I have those little packets just in case. *Edit: These are super sweet and I actually can't eat them. I love sweets, but they are just too much for me. My mom likes them though.
The Almost Nuts Milk Chocolate Covered Flame Roasted Soybeans... I have to say I haven't tried them yet, but I'm so intrigued. I imagine they'll taste like chocolate covered nuts , but I'm a little apprehensive to be honest.
Honest Tea Honey Green Tea: I've tried a few Honest Tea flavors before, but for someone reason I didn't love this one. I haven't really been loving honey lately and I have to wonder if that's why. It was okay, but not great.
The EAS Energy drink was okay. I don't know what I was expecting exactly, but the taste reminded me of fruit punch flavored Speed Stack. Slightly tart as if it were meant to be carbonated, but flat. Not bad, but not great. Drank it sort of quickly so I could get my energy boost before my workout.
I have the ENERGEMS in my purse and keep forgetting them. I'm keeping them on hand for those moments where I start to nod off.
I'm not sure why the women's box had a children's supplement, but I don't have any kids
OMG Sports Spray: I need to just keep this in my gym bag. I used it on some stinky sneakers and my boyfriends gym stuff and it really just makes it smell so fresh. It's almost a light minty smell, but the bottle is big and you only need a tiny bit. It works so well! This was probably my favorite product this month!
I have gotten the Snapea Crisps like 3 or 4 times in different subscription boxes. I don't eat peas or snapeas. I gave a pack to a friend and she liked them, but I'd rather get something else to be completely honest.

September KlutchClub

This month's box was all about being stress free!

I haven't a chance to try everything yet, but read on for my review of what I've tried.

I received the Annie Chun's Seaweed Snacks and the Snapea Crisps in other boxes before and I personally don't care for them.

The Boom Chicka Pop Sea Salt Popcorn was delicious and made for a great snack at work.

The PowBab is a supplement chew and it's like candy! These are so good!

DreamWater I've tried before, but this is a new flavor for me.

The rest I'll be trying through the week.

Let me know what you think of KlutchClub below!

August Klutch Club

Hey everyone,  sorry this one's posting a little late. If you keep up with my blog you know it's been a difficult month. My dog was put to sleep and family is visiting from around the globe so things have been hectic.
Anyway, on to the box. This month's focus was healthy eating and hydration, which is great because that's been a personal focus lately.
I haven't used the free week of Prep Dish or downloaded the 7 Day Summer Skinny Plan yet, but I'm hoping to get on that this week.
My boyfriend has been snacking on the Seaweed Snacks and said he thinks they're okay, but nothing spectacular.  I personally don't like seaweed, so I'll let him have those.
The Juice Beauty moisturizer feels very lightweight and didn't leave me greasy. It has a really pleasant smell to it too which is always a nice bonus. It's good to keep skin hydrated as we head into the drier months.
There were two products I was excited about in this box and unfortunately neither was spectacular. So long as my water tastes and is clean I'm happy, but I like trying different brands. Not that I need an entire menu's worth and a sommelier for it, it just needs to taste clean. So when I saw the Penta Water in the box it intrigued me. It seemed like the fanciest, fussiest water I'd ever heard of. It tasted like most other water and no cleaner or purer than what comes from my Brita. Maybe I do need that sommelier. I was also excited about the OMG! Food Company Antioxidant Powder since I love açai and this was a huge disappointment. I had it with water, but it can be used in smoothies or on yogurt etc. It was super bitter and unpleasant which was a shame.
The Nature's Bakery blueberry fig bar was really good and not as dry as some others. It made a great snack for a busy work day and held me over for a while.
The PopChips tortilla chips were probably my favorite. It was like a healthy bag of Doritos.
The only other product in the box I haven't tried yet is the Puracyn Wound and Skin Care since I haven't had any cuts (knock on wood) to try it on.
I didn't love this month's box as much as some of the previous ones, but it was still a pretty good box and a good value.

July Klutchbox

July's Klutchbox just arrived and I'm super excited. Not only was this box an amazing value, but it's Celiac friendly.  I don't personally suffer from Celiac disease (or any food allergies thankfully) but one of my closest friends does. I'm so happy that the world is becoming more aware of different food sensitivities and becoming more and more accommodating. I like that I'm able to compare gluten free foods to "normal" foods so that I can gauge how close it is. Check out the photos below to see all the great products in this month's box.

KlutchClub Best of Box

So if you're subscribed to KlutchClub they sent out a special very limited offer for 4th of July for a free Best of Box of your choice (Women's, Men's or Mom's) and you only paid for shipping. I love free stuff... I mean who doesn't? But I REALLY love free stuff, so I got it. I'll be trying all the stuff out this week, but it looks like a really good assortment, plus it was FREE! KlutchClub has been really great. It's all been products and services that I can use and they have sent me some really amazing deals. I highly recommend it, even if you just try it for a month. You can sign up here.

June KlutchBox

Somehow KlutchClub ended up sending me 2 of the June box and they are a slightly different, which means I get to try a few different flavors of a few different products.

I'll have reviews up soon, but here's just an at-a-glance of what came in them. This month's theme was a spa stay-cation.

May KlutchBox

So I apologize, when this came in I thought it was the June Box, but apparently as late as I ordered I still got May's. (Also I'm doing the Women's Box only for now, I may get Greg the Men's in the future.) So apparently, the boxes ship out on the 15th if purchased before then and take 5-10 days and I got mine in the last days of May and got it in early June.

The first thing I noticed with this box is that they definitely give you a lot for your money. They say it's at least a $50 value for $18 and when the box first arrives it seems small and you think "Yeah right..." And then you open it. These folks do not waste space. As soon as I picked it up it felt very heavy for it's size. I received about a dozen items as well as book full of coupons for Walgreens. Some products also had a coupon attached to their package. Plus there was a card for 15% off my online Walgreens order.

What I got:

So far I've tried:
KIND Bar in Madagascar Vanilla - Good, but not my favorite. I've tried others from them and I didn't love this one. I got a lot of peanut flavor and peanuts are NUT at the top of my list. (And you wonder why I don't do standup.)
BIC Soleil Bella Razor - I've tried some of the other BIC Soleil razors and didn't see too much difference with this one. It has an extra strip of moisture from coconut milk. This is the kind of razor I would travel with, good in a pinch, but not as good as borrowing my boyfriend's.

I'll be honest, I'm very curious about many of these products, but here's why I haven't tried some of them:

Hangover Sucks - I love the name, but I never drink to get hungover, though I may do it just to test these out. If 4th of July gets too happy I'll definitely be carrying these on me. They're supposed to help relieve hangover symptoms with a blend of vitamins and herbs in a convenient lozenge. They also make lollipops.

Agro Labs Wheatgrass Boost - I really am curious about it, the benefits are supposed to be great, but I am soooo picky and, I'm going to sound like a 4 year old, but wheat grass shooters in general look yucky. I'll let you know when I muster up the courage.

Coromega Big Squeeze - I keep wanting to try this, but I keep rushing out of the house in the morning before I remember to. I'm curious to see how it tastes alone or blended into drinks. If it's tasty it will definitely be a great replacement to the enormous fish oils I take currently. (Also this big pouch contained 45 servings!)

Enjoy Life Not Nuts: I've been carrying this in my purse as a just in case snack for a few weeks. I think I keep forgetting it's there, but it will soon be gone.

Dream Water: I have been DYING to try this, but I am a baby with sleep aids. I am so sensitive that I can often oversleep. This contains melatonin and an equivalent to tryptophan, both are naturally occurring and help promote restful sleep. However, I have melatonin supplements and only take them when I have at least 10 hours I can sleep, just in case. I once slept 14 hours from taking a Tylenol PM. I will definitely be trying it the night before a day off.

Shea Terra African Black Soap in Mango - I literally keep forgetting to bring it in the shower. I need to just put it there so I'll remember once I'm in there. Smells AMAZING though!

Clean Well Wipes - There are 2 in here. One for surfaces and one for hands, I should probably just keep these in my purse for when I need them. Usually at home I don't need these kinds of things, but on the go is a different story entirely.

100% Pure Body Cream: These are great little mini samples and I'm going to put them in my purse for those inevitable moments where I can't find any lotion.

Eclos Daily HydraPrimer SPF 30: I honestly have forgotten to try it in the morning as I'm getting ready. I'm also very careful about anything that "claims" to be a broad spectrum sunscreen, it's a rant for another day, but long story short I work in the medical beauty industry and know what a sunscreen needs to have. I have to scrutinize the label on this one and get back to you guys.

Subscription Boxes (And a free KlutchClub Box!)

Hey everyone, sorry that I'm so behind on reviews. The Julep Maven Box is delayed because of the holiday weekend and the Olfactif box for May never went out due to high demand, which I'm a little upset about since it was supposed to be all floral, springy scents. I'm hoping they will be up this week and hoping to be able to afford more boxes soon so that I'll have more to review for you. If there is any you would like to see (or don't see in the list I'm researching) just comment below. I'm looking into both beauty and food/wellness, if there's a different category you've seen, let me know.

So far I've looked into:
beautybox5
Popsugar must have
Glossybox
Birchbox
NewBeauty Test Tube
Turntable
NatureBox
(and honestly a lot more!)

You can go crazy with these things! It feels like my birthday every time I get one!
